Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder -- A Review
Hello Everyone!! This is my official review of the Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder. I have many thoughts on this product, and I hope I covered absoutely everything you will need to know about this product. It has been called a setting powder, it has been called a finishing powder, it has been called a foundation, it has been called a bronzer, it has been called a powder foundation, it has been called a complexion powder...etc. The ways I find that this product work best: On it's own or over a primer (similar to a MAC MSF Natural) If you have dry or normal skin. If you have minimal redness, discolorations, blemishes If you are within a certain shade range (from pure white to medium-deep tan) (I do not believe this product would work well with oily skin) (I do not believe this product would work well for extended lengths of time) (This is a good foundation setting powder, but it will not help your foundation last in excess of 6 hours) (The hydrating action of the powder is not sufficient to be your only face hydrating product). This product is unique because it is advertised as a skin care-type product as well as a cosmetic powder. It does have some hydrating effects, but these effects are small (although worthy of a mention). As for the amino acids, peptides, etc. I cannot speak on the benefits of these (and it is possible that these additions are just the product's "hook" and do not really perform any significant or useful function).
